I wanted to draw a scene that somehow showed the essence of the series, that these people meet through chance (and a desire to improve their Spanish) and end up having this huge impact on each other. I love that about Community, it’s one of those shows with a big heart.

#There is something very sad about this set #because it’s a love triangle yeah #abed abed’s been falling for annie but it isn’t his place to get involved with group romance or whatever #So it’s interesting thinking about the times he’s pointed them out when you also factor in that he likes her #and it comes back to abed’s perceived role VS his actual feelings #so then you have virtual systems #where abed finally sees annie trying to hook up troy/britta so she can be with jeff #and it just triggers this pent to sadness mixed in with his growing doubts about his own place #and BOOM! he jumps in trying to be jeff because he thinks it’s what Annie wants after watching#the romance unfold #and you finally see the Abed version of jealous come out because he’s been imposing these ideas on her even though it’s not what she wants #i just love them so much #and it’s heartbreaking thinking about abed having to watch the two of them get together and him thinking it is inevitable and trying to a… #when he really…doesn’t
